Respect the legacy
It would have been the 11th building to be constructed at "Rua dos Sapateiros" street, between 1794 and 1798. Thus, dating from its construction, that is, to the 18th century, the following details are visible: tiles; original fresco walls in some of the apartments; frontal walls and St. André crosses; arches and stone masonry visible on the ground floor, noggin walls in the apartments, on the 5th floor.

Building refurbishment is one of the most daring and ingenious architecture and engineering jobs. It allows us to map out the structure and its intrinsic memories while simultaneously giving us the opportunity to intervene, reinvent and make them part of the building's history.
Dream of the future
Our main concerns in the refurbishment of our hotel were the energy efficiency and the reduction of the carbon footprint (noticeable in the chosen materials and highly efficient equipment) as well as the social sustainability (use of national suppliers and artisans).
