We currently have 2 chargers for electric cars in our facilities, thus continuing our commitment to encourage the use of renewable energy. We are also working on the construction of a small photovoltaic power plant for the production of electrical energy for our own consumption.
Since 2000 we have avoided the emission of approximately 2.5 million kilos of CO2 into the atmosphere, since each kilo of diesel burned produces 2.3 kg of CO2. This is because we heat the water with our 80 solar panels, thus avoiding the use of fossil fuels such as oil and its derivatives
We have the Committed Energy Certificate which guarantees that 100% of the energy used in Bosque Mar comes from renewable sources This is only the energy that we receive from outside during the night hours since most of it is produced in the hotel with photovoltaic panels
